Solar Panel, Battery Storage & EV Charger Installation in a modern home in Cornwall
Here’s a quick look at our latest solar panel installation for a fantastic couple here on the Cornish coast. The project involved a complete home energy upgrade for a 5-year-old home on the Lizard. To upgrade this coastal home, we combined solar panels, battery storage and EV charging to help Ray and his partner generate, store and use their own clean energy.
The installation for this project included:
- 9 × 450W all-black solar PV panels
- Fox ESS All-in-One battery storage system
- Ohme Home Pro smart EV charger
- Solar panel bird protection mesh
- Slate roof solar installation
The sleek all-black solar panels provide a clean, modern finish while generating renewable electricity directly from the roof. To protect the system in the long term, we also installed specialist bird mesh around the solar array, helping to prevent birds from nesting underneath the panels.
The Battery Storage System
The Fox ESS All-in-One battery storage system allows excess solar energy generated during the day to be stored and used when it’s needed most, including evenings, overnight usage and EV charging. Battery storage is becoming one of the best ways for homeowners to maximise their solar investment and reduce reliance on the grid.
Ohme Home Pro EV Charger
Alongside the solar and battery installation, we fitted an Ohme Home Pro EV charger, providing the customer with intelligent electric-vehicle charging and smart-tariff compatibility. This year we’ve seen a huge jump in demand for EV chargers in Cornwall, now that 6% of all cars on the road are completely electric.
